Uniform Information
Uniform Information
Uniform is worn by all children from Reception upwards. Uniform is optional in Nursery.
Our school colours are maroon and gold.
Our school sweatshirt or sweat cardigans have the school logo on them and can be bought from Stevensons or from our online supplier School Trends. Other items of uniform are also available from these suppliers, or you can choose to buy uniform from several different supermarkets or clothing shops.
Alternatively, Friends of Wheatfields Infants' and Nursery School (FoWINS) organise second hand uniform sales each term where uniform is typically available for £1 per item. When your child outgrows their uniform, we would be very pleased if you would donate it to one of these sales.
We do not permit nail varnish or make-up, and discourage extreme hair styles and accessories. The only earrings permitted at school are studs.
All items of clothing and equipment must be clearly named.

Shoes
Children should wear black trainers or black school shoes which will allow them to use our play areas and equipment safely.
Forest School
Children will also need waterproofs, warm outdoor clothing and wellies for Forest School.
PE
Children will need a PE kit including a tracksuit (as described in the table above).
School Bags
Children will need a book bag. They should also have a small drawstring bag in which to keep their trainers and waterproofs for Forest School which they can hang on their peg.
Please do not send your child to school with a large school bag which takes up too much room in the cloakroom. Small drawstring bags which can hang neatly on a narrow peg can be purchased from our online supplier.
Watches
The children may wear watches/fitbits to school, however if they find these too distracting, the class teacher will keep them safe until the end of the school day. In line with our safeguarding policy, children should not bring in watches that have the capacity to take photos or access games. Please can you remind the children that they should never be taking photos of other people without their permission. Please note that school will take no responsibility if watches are lost or damaged.
Water Bottles
Pupils should bring a named, re-usable water bottle to school each day as decided by our School Council.
Summer
When the weather is hot and sunny please send a sun hat to school and put some sun cream on your child in the morning.
