Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. Schools receive a payment, or Pupil Premium, for each child who has registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years, those looked after by the local authority and the children of armed service personnel.
For 2024/2025 this income is £13,320 (£1,480 per child) For 2023/2024 this income was £10,185 (£1,455 per child).
Schools, Headteachers and teachers decide how to use the Pupil Premium allocation, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for these pupils within their responsibility. They must also report on-line how they have used the Pupil Premium and the impact it has had on pupil achievement.
