With so many children arriving and leaving the Infants' and Junior Schools each day we ask parents to park responsibly to ensure the safety of children, parents, staff and local residents. Ideally parents are encouraged to walk their children to school or come on scooters or bicycles. Lockable scooter and bike racks are available in the school grounds. If you do have to come to school by car we encourage people to ' Park and Stride' and leave your car some distance from the school gates walking for the last part of your journey.
To ensure the safety of children, parents, staff can we please remind everybody that the school car park is for staff use only and parents are not permitted to drive into the car park until after 4.30pm.Can we also remind parents to use the pedestrian footpaths and not to walk through the middle of the car park? If you come into school during the day when the Downes Road pedestrian gate is locked, please use the pedestrian path that can be accessed via the Junior School entrance and walk along the path in front of the Junior School that leads to the Zebra Crossing. If you then need to go to Nursery please walk along the path in front of the school kitchen behind the steel fence. Please also ensure that your children stay close to you.

Parking Restrictions on the Ridgeway
The system works on a tidal flow process as follows:
In the morning: Parking is not permitted on the side of the road closest to the school i.e on the left hand side if you are looking from Marshalswick Lane towards Sandringham School.
In the afternoon: Parking is not permitted on the side of the road furthest from school i.e on the right hand side if you are looking from Marshalswick Lane towards Sandringham School.
The rationale behind this is that in the mornings the majority of traffic is travelling towards Sandringham and so this side of the road is kept clear and vice versa in the afternoon most traffic will be moving away from Sandringham. Parking Restrictions in Sandringham Crescent
Double yellow lines exist at various points along the road. No right turns are permitted out of the layby and the bus stop area should be kept clear.
