Wheatfields Infants & Nursery School opened in 1964 and is located in a residential area in the North East of St Albans. It is a Community School administered by Hertfordshire County Council and shares an open and attractive site with Wheatfields Junior School and Sandringham Secondary School. Children are taught in large, light classrooms that are well- resourced.

We believe education is a partnership between home and school, and they should be complementary. Home is where much valuable learning occurs through a variety of experiences and much encouragement and support. School aims to build on this care and experience.

We promote a warm and caring community where every child is valued and respected as an individual.  We are committed to providing a secure, safe and happy environment, and we expect high standards of achievement and behaviour. We believe in developing each child’s self-esteem and confidence so they can all achieve and rise to their daily challenges. We encourage in children a respect for moral values and tolerance of all religions, traditions and cultures.
